what are your arguments for or against hydrogen powered vehicles? I'm helping my little sister write a paper, and i would really appreciate the help.

Personally, I would prefer HELIUM powered cars... that way we could "fly" to work and arrive talking like Mickey Mouse...

But you asked about hydrogen... In lieu of my own opinion about this... which I don't have... I have searched for some more reliable sources for you:

There are many problems associated with Hydrogen powered cars. 1. Making the Hydrogen, it is very difficult to make. Current Technology uses Natural gas to make Hydrogen. It take to much energy at this time to make it from water. 2. Storage of Hydrogen, as stated above, it is a very small atom, and it will leak through just about any container.
3. H is very volitale. 4. We are not there yet, we need to find something else.

I have retired from NASA ,and work with helium and hydrogen. The atoms are so small they will leak through almost anything. Hydrogen is very explosive ,if a tank full blew up it could wipe out a block. If the hydrogen is burned with the air u will create a lot of NO2. Not as clean as u thought.
