A lot due to college loans. But I make my payments even when times get tough. I don't think I'll ever be out of debt.

I have never owed money, (except for a mortgage) or had a credit card. It doesn't seem to be a problem. I always wait and save until I can afford to buy! The banks hate people like me.

I owe alot of money to the bank, and did think about going backrupt except i am a proud person and believe that i borrowed it so i should pay it back. If bankruptcy was your only way out then good for you, enjoy it and dont get yourself in that position again!! all the best

I only owe about $3000. But I could pay it off now if necessary. I'm just carrying the balance to keep a revolving line of credit. It's only a small percentage of my 'available credit' limit.

I'm with Splat if we cant afford it we either save or go without. Designer labels are a rip off and there is a cheaper version of everything. We have always been sensible with money and in our late thirties paid off the last of our mortgage and now our £350,000 house is all ours and our money is in saving accounts not going off to pay for debt.

People like you (that declare bankrupcy) are the bread and butter of the payday loan industry. You may declare bankrupcy and walk out on your loans, but you'll be back, and we'll be waiting.

PS: When you die, you'll have no assets. The house always wins if you can't have enough sense to build a buffer.

Nothing, i'm quite lucky. Every time a family member dies, they leave me a sh!t load of money. Soon i'll be the only one left in my family, but i'll be rich. RICH RICH RICH. And you are poor, poor and bankrupt. Ha ha ha. Lower classes, you're why they set up post office accounts. Bless ya, dug a hole and cant get out.
