If it was enough blood to make the water look pink, get to a doctor ASAP, as this can be a symptom of cancer or ulcerative colitis, both very serious diseases that need prompt treatment. DO NOT DELAY! But if it was just a smear on the paper, wait a few days and see if it takes care of itself.

Very scary, isn't it - although it probably looks worst than it is - the water makes it look like a lot. I suggest you get this checked by the doc but hopefully its not too serious ... it is likely to be, but not guaranteed:
1. If it looks like it has clotted (dark colour - maybe even black) - from quite high up in digestive system - go to doc pretty quick as it may be quite serious.
2. If it is bright red and still liquid, it is probably from piles just inside your rectum. Not very pleasant, slightly embarrassing but can often be treated with simple medication - or if not sorted by that, with a "minor" op.
Either way, if this has happened, go get some reassurance from a doc who can see and check it out properly.

it's probably hemroids or it could be stroke of the colon or something much more serious. See you doctor right away. Been there and done that.
