I have a 30 gallon aquarium w/ 3 large fancy goldfish.
My airpump is producing a very thick foam at the top of the water. It's never done this before. I'm worried the goldfish will swallow too much air when eating. Any solutions?

Turnoff you airator, change your filter, and do a couple of water changes (make sure to use the recommend amount of stress coat). When that happend to me found out i was adding too much stresscoat. PS it also helps to scoop out the foam collecting at the surface

The foam could be from too much of a product like stress coat or from excess protiens and fats in the water. Either way it's nothing a good water change or two won't fix right up.

I would try turning the aerator off and then popping the ballons. At least try it again if its really the aeratore making the bubbles. I hope nothing bad will happen.
