When it comes up, it often wants to go outside of the track and also forward a bit, leaving an open area at the back of the window. This lets rain in unless I fix it every time I get out of the car, it's especially a pain if I have it down and it starts raining while I am driving.

Remove the inside door panel and scope it out - you'll be able to see the problem then and repair it

Some cars have a plastic guide clip that attaches to the upper rear corner of the glass to keep it in the track when going up or down...these clips often break and display the same problem you are having. Check with a local Honda dealer for an exploded view of your glass parts and see if your car has this setup or examine the other side door glass....if you pull back the weatherstrip run channel a little, you may see clip. To install, the clip is usually folded over and has a little plastic stud that fits in a hole in the glass, then the two halves clip together to keep it in place on the glass...then you push the glass rearward until the clip engages in the track. Good luck, Paul

You have to take the door panel off of the door. There may be a skin across the interior of the door, you can cut that with a utility knife (try to cut along the edges so you can tape it abckup again). Then you may have to lube the track with a really good lube (make sure its something that is scent free) you can also inspect the interior door pieces and lube as many joints as possible. Then tape the interior skin abck together and put the door panel abck on and you should be good to go.

properly take the button out and sparkling it with wd-40 and the terminal and attempt it. and also verify if there is modern-day operating to the door lock on the driver part. if there is modern-day the button is undesirable. replace it.
