With 7 years experience, go to the club and talk to the MC she will probably tell you to go away the first 3 or 4 times (if she is a good mama she will) just keep coming back every week and bring your drag bag once the let you in you will be in the sisterhood. You are also gonna need a lot of cash and make good friends with the sewing machine sister. The costumes are all on you. So bring your visa cause looking cheap is expensive.

Well i dont know any drag queens but i have seen quite a few shows and the only advice i have is to NOT overdo it with the make up. Let someone do your make up professionally and with precision. That whole bright turqousie anad glitter with hot pink lipstick look is NOT a good deal. It's scary. You can even have heavy make up (bcuz its needed under the lights) and it not be badly done (clashing colors). If you're point is to really look like a woman....we dont do wierd & crazy makeup so keep it toned down & u should be okay.

First of all, ensure you don't look like a guy in a dress. Before you go out in public, you may want to dress up and see how well you look. Drag Queens use excessive make up for stage productions, but most of them are femme in appearance before they go on stage.

Make sure you have a big hefty checking account or good "Credit" because the wigs,gowns, heels, purses and makeup add up fast when you go shopping even at Walmart.
