Do they even tell you why you were in violation? I was in violation for a reply I made. For the life of me I have no idea what I did or said wrong, other than using the Y word. I did hate it. I would like to know what the question was that you asked. I know you would only be violated if you told us. So, I will just take it that Y was wrong.

I'm wondering is it because an answerer reported something or did Yahoo people not like the question at such a late date. Makes no sense if that many people obviously liked the question enough to take the time to want to answer your question. I don't understand why anyone has to get a violation. I wrote in to Yahoo and told them I don't understand any of this because to me this entire thing should just be in fun, anyway, as long as there is no foul language for young eyes, etc. I can't understand why anyone's accounts should ever be suspended when in my mind, we signed up to answer questions for people and/or for amusement, only. I don't see the seriousness of having someone's entire accounts ruined. I just don't get this concept, at all.

Maybe we went overboard and offended those with no sense of humour? Maybe our answer sucks (to some people)? Well, dont get annoyed, we come in willingly with an open mind. Remember this is a public forum. So, be prepared to be bombarded with criticisms and praises. Just smile your way through. I have two who included me into their contacts today. The moon is not always full as the Chinese saying goes. Just think of the days when you open your yahoo box to the "Congratulations, you have a best answer". That would make our day because it shows someone shares or value our views. Cheers.....

Don't you hate it when you get 10 points for best answer and then get a violation -10 points.

I don't think that's happened to me. Wow. As much as people get violations, maybe I'll never ask a question!
