i'm doing a project on the Watergate scandal and we need to explain it to the class in a creative way besides a power point or poster board. how can my group show what happened and the effects of it, creatively? we were thinking of doing a skit involving some of the Nixon tapes but I'm sure someone can think of something more interesting then that.

You could try to come up with an alternate time line based on the question of "what would have happened if Nixon hadn't resigned?" Ford may or may not have run for president on his own. Either way it's doubtful that Jimmy Carter would have been president. The events in Iran could have transpired differently with a different president so the future history of the middle east could have been changed.

If I were given that project this is what I would do. Seeing as everyone and their sister Sue owns a video camera now how about making a fake documentary where you and your group interview the people involved in Watergate. Nixon, the guys that broke in to the DNC office, and even the guy at the Watergate who called the cops. Think about where you want the story to go....was Nixon involved? What were they looking for? Etc. It might take some research but it would be fun and who doesn't like watching a movie in class?

Try this.
1. Discuss what you are going to do with the principal. Make sure you get it on tape.
2. Sneak into class and take something.
3. Have a friend rat you out to the teacher.
4. Make the principal turn over the tapes.
5. Try to explain why parts of the tape are missing.

The story is simple :- President Nixon in his office talked to some of his staff and decided to hear all talking of Democratic Party"s conference in Watergate Inn, President Nixon talks to his staff were recorded, that is why he could not deny at the end the case of " hearing " which Bob Woodward revealed.
