If a number is called odd, it's because it leaves a remainder of 1 when divided by 2, and here i am speaking of positive whole numbers. if a number is called even, it's because it leaves a remainder of 0 when divided by 2. Since we have 0/2 = 0, the quotient is 0 and the remainder is 0, there's just nothing left to tell us what happened except the 0 . it says that 0 leaves a remainder of 0 when divided by 2, which puts it in the even category even though it's zero.

zero is neither positive nor negative, neither a prime number nor a composite number, nor is it a unit. But it doesn't say whether its an even or odd number. hm... so i probably say yes... since it goes 0,2,4,6 and not 0,1,3,5... and it can be divided by 2, and many people think 0 is an even number anyways
