His name is Gary Frank and after Family was cancelled he did several guest appearances on shows like The Love Boat, L.A. Law and Charlie's Angels. His last appearance was on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine back in the late 90's.

I believe he has hooked up with Kirk Cameron and the youngest Baldwin brother and is now heavily into preaching the gospel to young kids.
