I like playing basketball anywhere!! But, I usually play basketball indoors. I don't know if this is coincidence or not, but whenever I play basketball indoors it is usually more organized than outdoors. Also, I've played wonderful games indoors. Since basketball season is in the winter, you almost have to play indoors. I always practice indoors too. However, the first time I ever played basketball was outdoors. Anyway, I LOVE THE GAME!!

Of course outside you have to face the elements like dirt on the court, rocks, gravel, and in the whole wind factor. But as a street dude and a person that grew up on the block, outside B-Ball was where it was. It is where all the great hoopers developed and perfected their games. You do have your indoor greats like Kobe, Nash, but there are more raw talented cats coming offf the streets then the gym. I just feel like i can breath a lot better outdoors.

Doesnt matter I just need a hoop and a basketball. But indoors your jump shot is more consistent as with outdoors you have to deal with the elements, but that makes it much more fun

Of course playing indoors is better (air conditioning, better traction, nicer ball, better grip, don't have to chase the ball, water fountains, etc.) but I like to play outside because that's where the real ballers go to play adn there's always a court open. The guys that can't afford a gym membership, the guys that play rough and don't call fouls. That's real basketball...Rucker Park style.

It really dosen't matter really I mean sure your chances of getting hurt badly are greater outdoors than indoors but it's the samething in or out does it make you play better?

I haven't played indoors for quite some time, although I would bet it would help with my overall footwork. (Running on concrete wears my feet out after a while.) I still prefer the outdoors, weather permitting.

Blacktop basketball is much more fun, but getting a nasty scab on the asphalt is no fun. Indoor basketball doesn't expose you to the elements; it's more fun outside, weather permitting and if you're brave enough to endure wounds and fractures.

outdoor because indoor goals are generous. alot of outdoor goals you have to hit the shot perfect because the rims are not generous with rolls or bounces. this has improved my outside game greatly
