Someone told me last weekend that Stephen Colbert is really a liberal democrat and his show is a farce and that he's actually making fun of conservative republicans. I don't care much one way or the other, but I was curious.

Well, that seals the deal. Stephen Colbert is officially a genius. I think I'm a replublican (at least I vote that way b/c they support the military pay raises), but it's freaking hilarious one way or the other.

No, Ben. I don't believe anyone should be suing anybody. Freedom of speech and freedom of the Press is what this Great Nation is all about isn't it?

Yes, The Colbert Report is a parody of Fox's O'Reilly Show.
What is disturbing is that you think the party that continually votes to cut troop pay (Republican) votes to increase their pay. You should do some research and see which party actually pays more to the military families versus corporate research for pie-in-the-sky weapon systems.

with the intention to in basic terms be humorous in case you poke relaxing at liberals and democrats? Colbert makes relaxing of the two sides, in spite of the very incontrovertible fact that he seems to have extra relaxing with GOP politicians and fake information pundits. i assume that's the sheer quantity of fabric he has to artwork with that comes to a decision his 'humor' for the day.

Yes, Stephen Colbert's character "Stephen Colbert" is a hilarious parody of conservative republican pundits.
The character is mostly based off of Bill O'Reilly. You can see this in his "Word" (Parody of O'Reilly's "Talking Points") and his 'admiration' for him as well.

Yes, he is a liberal Democrat. He is mocking the O'Reilly Factor. I thought he was a conservative for a time as well.

No, really?! Say it isn't so. Shouldn't the RNC be suing him for violation of franchise for making fun (or fools) of conservative republicans?!

"The Colbert Report" is satire at its best...I like to think Colbert is actully an independant, he does like to bash both sides.
