its in my pictures stash and its a work computer. if i delete it from the folder and then empty the recycle bin, can it still be recovered? how do i delete all the evidence?

as long as nobody knows a whole lot about computers you should be ok. What is the picture of that is so important that nobody sees it?

Open the picture in a photo editor and deface it so it can't be recognized. Save the changes. Then delete it. If it ever were to be recovered, nobody would know what it was.

Just FYI, deleting an item from the Recycle Bin does not mean it's permanently deleted. It *can* be recovered. Hence the reason I suggested defacing the picture first.

If this is a stand alone computer, I.E., it is not connected to a network or server, then you can simply delete the graphic and empty the Recycle bin. the picture will be gone. If, on the other hand, this computer is part of a business network, and depending on how the IT has set the RAID there will probably be a copy of this file/picture on the "backup" drive in the server.

once it is deleted from recycle bin, go into system32 and hit ctrl f , type filer, then select purge deleted files press escape. But first tell me your porn site

you must have thought about it before downloading a porn picture......ok..just .kidding...

click on it and press shift+delete from key board and it will be gone.......but do send me a copy of it first...lol
