all excited because the sign said gas $1.39 only to find out the station was closed down and the sign hadn't been changed in 3 years?

That happens to me almost once a week driving around in New Orleans.. So many gas stations closed down after Katrina and the signs show prices from before the storm!

I think I would have to take the sign down so that no one else would have to deal with it.

Besides, my kids will never believe that I once paid $1.39 per gallon for fuel. It would be nice to have the sign around to show them.

haha - no but I stopped once because there ws a big Restaurant sign up on I - 80 in Pennsylvania and pulled into a place that looked like it hadn't been open for a long time.
