I have a blue keyboard. You can get different colors...the reason for the black/white keyboards is because most computer cases and monitors are black or white, so the keyboard matches.

It's the "corporate" look.
It's mostly for style, but also you want strongly contrasting colors so that the letters on the keys are easy to see. That's for people whose eyesight isn't as good as average and for the glare that overhead lighting in offices can sometimes create.

One of mine is white on black... the other is black on grey. Oh and the roll-up one is white on translucent blue.
IBM made their PCs in sort of beige colour with black printing and most companies stick to that as a colour scheme.

not any other because other colours may look atrractive but they may not be so clear .
and more even some colours merge with other colours too
and some people are colour blind that they is can only see black & white only.
