Where ever you will be at just look in the local paper. There will be listings galore of things to do, places to go, celebrations to enjoy. Keep in mind the large crowds if you are in a city area. Also even though July 4th is the official Independance day, most of America also celebrates on the 3rd. So you can do twice as much celebrating. Have a great time!!!

If you like History get yourself to Williamsburg, Virginia. It's what Independence Day is all about. We went to the 4th of July celebration there last year. It was really great. It cost us $45.00 a person ( cheaper for children). We got to eat at the Governor's Palace in the large garden area. This palace is a historical building in the Historical Colonial Park at Williamsburg. Included in the fee are singing minstrels, puppet shows, and a Fife and Drum concert. You also get a wonderful "boxed" lunch and are able to be entertained while eating. You'll need to bring portable chairs or a picnic blanket. Get there early for a good spot. At around 9:15 pm you will be escorted to a roped off area in the colonial park Historic Area for a reserved spot to view the Fireworks.
Keep checking in at the link below as you get closer to the date. It is the Williamsburg Website.

You might want to stay in the area longer as there is so much to do and see. The web site will give info on this 4th of July event at the Governor's Palace when the date gets closer. You can also call the toll free number at 1- 800 History to find out about this event and any others.
Hope you can make it. You won't regret it!

If you are anywhere in Michigan, you can come to our annual 4th of July BBQ and fireworks display at our house. We'll probably be having a live band.
Look in a local newspaper for 4th of July fireworks display. Just about every little Hog Hollar has something going on.
e-mail me if you like.

Any lake is always packed during the 4th. I don't know how much money you will have, but you could go to a lake and rent a boat? Or head over to Galveston, Texas... theres the beach, lots of things to do. Good luck!
