For Egypt visit ECNR is still required or finished?

Recently i came to know that Indian govt. has wavied ECNR requirements from many countries including EGYPT. Is it started working?

As per the new passport regulation all are automatically entitled for the ECNR status. If your passport holding ECR status then you should get ECNR stamped or temporarily be suspended before leaving for Egypt.

Recently the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of India have been simplified the criteria for ECNR. Submit your passport along with the attested copy of your educational certificates (matriculation or above) and you will get back your passport on the same day with ECNR stamp.
