I have to create a website for a town. How much should I charge?
I have to create a website for a town's chamber of commerce. It needs to have a very professional look and there are quite a few pages to it. I was wondering what would be a fair price to charge? Hourly or total would be appreciated. Thanks.

Make some calls to several businesses that do the same type of work. Find out their costs then set yours accordingly. Consider even lowering your costs a bit so that if they shopped they'd find you were the best deal.

What about charging a certain fee for each page? It depends on how involved it is. Does it have Flash, Video? That would cost them a bit more.

See what their budget is. Then decide if it's worth it to you. You can charge whatever you want, but if they don't have it to pay...
