It's definitely worth more than a dollar. Your dollar coin dated 1922 is more commonly referred to as the Peace Dollar among hobbyists. It contains 0.7736 troy ounce of pure silver, with the bullion value alone already exceeding $10. But the coin is not worth the silver alone. It has been widely collected among hobbyists and has a numismatic market value of $16 in nice circulated up to $18 in about uncirculated. Uncirculated specimens start from $20. Even if your coin is in a bad shape, like for instance in very worn condition, it's still valued at about $12 to $14. Hope this brings some cheers to you.

Yes, it's more than a dollar. The problem lies in the fact that the value of the silver in that dollar may be worth more than the actual intrinsic or collector's value of the coin. Check your coin to see if it is the 1922 PEACE Dollar.

Value of these ranges between $5.00 - $25.00 Approximate - this depends very much on the QUALITY of the coin and what condition it is in.

Have a local coin person value the coin for you.
