Humans have binocular vision in which the two eyes focus together. When people cross their eyes, the world suddenly doubles. Images, like the words on this page, become blurred, and it appears as if there are two of everything. When the eyes function correctly, they work together to focus images and to allow the brain to develop a three-dimensional view of the world.
Binocular vision is vision in which both eyes are used together. The word binocular comes from two Latin roots, bin for two, and oculus for eye. Having two eyes confers at least four advantages over having one. First, it gives a creature a spare eye in case one is damaged. Second, it gives a wider field of view. For example, a human has a horizontal field of view with one eye of about 150 degrees and with two eyes of about 180 degrees. Third, it gives binocular summation in which the ability to detect faint objects is enhanced. Fourth it can give stereopsis in which parallax provided by the two eyes' different positions on the head give precise depth perception. Such binocular vision is usually accompanied by singleness of vision or binocular fusion, in which a single image is seen despite each eye's having its own image of any object.

we've animals in caves that have not have been given any eyes. There are animals that have not have been given any ears (snakes) and we've animals that have not have been given nostrils (dolphins). Scientists have in basic terms merely stumbled on an thrilling fact approximately 2 nostrils. once you scent something, the nostrils compete to grant the excellent information to the ideas. 2 eyes, nicely I certainly have an uncle who has one eye and can't stress via fact he has difficulty judging distance. each and every thing may be flat like a television show screen if we in basic terms had one eye. 2 ears are available in obtainable once you're crossing the line. If an animal is creeping up at the back of you and you hear it growl, you know which area that's on at the back of you.
