Not at all.
But think it through carefully, are you a jealous person, could you handle your wife coming to home to you knowing that she's been with another man? If you think you can deal then give it a whirl. You won't be the only couple in the world enjoying an open relationship.

It seems to me you two have an open marriage that you can talk about things like that! If she really means and you really mean it then why not? But it just gives you reason to have an affair to. Your feelings might change after she has an affair. But your wife could be saying this just to test you and deep down she really dosen't mean it! Good Luck!

YES, when she tells you she is thinking of having an affair, what she is really saying is,
"I need to be loved and I want you to make more of an effort"
If she really wanted an affair, she would be on her bosses desk with her feet in the air a long time ago.
Spend more time with her, go for walks in the park and hold her hand in public, do this more regularly.

the grass is ALWAYS greener. once she has had her taste, your relationship wont be as sweet as you were before.
either
1. he will treat her as you did when you first got together and hse will feel treasured
2. it will be passionate and exciting, and your relationship now will melt in comparison (marriage after a while loses that initial excitement)
3. why did she tell you she wanted an affair. i think she was asking for you to be jealous and protective and show you that you're a 'man' and want you all to herself. it seems liek a cry out to make her feel more secure
-> she will resent you for letting her be with other men as it seems liek you dont treasure her enough
it's not wrong if thats how the relationship started, but this will end badly. i guarantee it

why would u want to encourage that? ive had a few relationships with married men - i didnt know they were married tho. it ruined their marriage in the end when the wife discovered us. affairs do, unless u have an open relationship its not a good idea.

Well, here on Yahoo Answers, or as it is also known, Cuckolding Central, it's par for the course, bub.
If Answers had a radio station, the motto would be "all cuckolding, all the time."
If Answers was a breakfast cereal, the box would read, "New! Improved! Now with more cuckolds!"
If Answers was an athletic shoe, the ads would end,
"Just cuckold it."
If Answers was an airline -- "We love to cuckold, and it shows."
Car company - "The Relentless Pursuit of Cuckolding."
Soup: "Campbell's Chunky Cuckold. A meal on a spoon."
And so on.

What an odd, odd question!?
Why would you want your wife to have an affair????
Are you wanting a reason to divorce her then? If she does have an affair are you hoping to get a sexual kick out of it or a kick in the teeth?

why the hell are you encouraging her in the first place you no its wrong you sound as bad as her it sounds to me that you are on rock bottom and are just saying anything to keep the peace i suggest that you and her need to sit down and have a proper talk see a marriage advisor and work through your problems together instead of being so stupid and allowing this to happen if you cant do this then to me it sounds over with you two

lol an affair is a secret thing that the husband/wife tends not to know anything about.. sounds more like a swingers thing to me....
and erm if you really want your marriage to last i would say dont joke about it, it just might slap you in the face and your wife will be off

Of course it's wrong. You wouldn't be asking if it was the right thing to do, now would you? In fact, really encourage her and just go down to the court and get a separation (pending divorce) right now and she won't need your permission at all. And then it will be perfectly all right?
