and "once a cheater,always a cheater"?
It's easy to say because one partner fails to provide a certain trait another partner needs...I mean beyond that...Some people go on to cheat in second relationships too, even if they are content...

I think people cheat because they have low self-esteem. They don't believe anyone is good enough for them and they're always looking for something better. A person like that will NEVER be happy in life because they are always comparing their life to those around them and they are constantly on the look out for the next big thing.

I tend to believe that once a cheater, always a cheater. I am sure there are some people out there who cheat once & never again, but I believe they go through a lot of counseling and a lot of self-discovery (and change) to make that happen. Most cheaters aren't willing to make that kind of investment.

The appearance of being content--no one is ever content in a relationship that results in cheating. They are either craving attention, or the physical contact of sex, or intimacy. One way or another, a person that cheats is ultimately looking for something that they are not getting from a monogomous relationship--especially if they cheat with multiple partners. Just because they are "comfortable" with a partner, doesn't mean content. Content doesn't mean happy.

The answer to this question is complicated.
All people are different so the reason they cheat may be different.
Some are unhappy in their current relationship, some cheat because of their own insecurites, some for the sheer excitement of doing something wrong and getting away with it.

Why do people want to analyze the crap out this subject, every individual has their own reasons for doing things and there isn't just one trait or one thing that makes a person cheat or anything else for that matter.

boredom, not happy in the marraige/relationship they are in. Looking for something that's lacking in the marraige/relationship. And the emotional support too. Plus the "excitement".
