Ladainian Tomlinson is obviously the best...

His stats last year were off the charts!!!

He is a double threat... In the fact that he has great vision, elusiveness and speed on the ground

and is also a major threat in the passing game, lots of people forget that RBs have to catch the ball and overlook receiving stats

A good RB can do it all... and by all means he can do it all virtually PERFECTLY

---

But watch out for some of the upcomming running backs...

I really believe Adrian Peterson's name is gonna be in the talks of the best running back in the NFL in about 2 years

LT with out question

Oh and to the guy above. There is no better running back to ever grace the football field the Berry Sanders. I don’t care if Smith holds the record I don't give a poo if he is even Sanders is last. I believe if Sanders hadn’t retired Smith would die on the field trying to catch the man.

Smith ran behind the line of Dallas. If he had to play in Detroit he would never even been in the top 15 running backs of all time. If you put Sanders in Dallas with the line that Smith had protecting him every game oooooo weeeeeee Sanders would own that and you would never see another person even smell that record. Even Sweetness would say Sanders is the best.

Shaun Alexander will return to top form in 2007. He had a banged up O line, QB, TE, himself and missed 6 games and almost broke the 1,000 yard mark to go along with his 10 TDs. Everyone plays extra hard on the NFL MVP so watch LT get hurt or get shut down this year. Shaun Alexander MVP 2007.

Right now, I would have to say FRANK GORE. I know everyone is going to think I'm crazy for passing on L.T. But look at the line and weapons L.T. has around him. Gore doesn't have anyone, and he still runs like a horse.

I'm taking this as all-time best running back and I will pick Jim Brown. He had a short career he quit while he was young to act. So then next is O.J. Simpson. Then Emmitt Smith and Thurman thomas. I don't know who's best today.

To the poster who said Tomlinson is a double threat, you're missing one aspect of his game. LaDainian is a triple threat, I think he threw at least two or three TDs this past season. He runs for, catches, and throws touchdowns. How can you stop that?

LT is the greatest guy in every category. He has the best moves, the best cutbacks, uses his speed the best, and he's a great receiver. He makes Phillip Rivers job so easy it's not even funny.
