The wonderful thing about this human race is the fact that as much as were all the same, we're all VERY different too. What would make me happy is probably not what would make other people happy, necessarily. Aside from that though, I'm most happy knowing that my soul will live in eternity with my Lord; knowing that my husband, children, and extended family would also be there in heaven; having good health and loving relationships while here on earth is enough for me to call myself happy. I hope you can say the same! :)

I think being happy has very few requirements, one is that the person is not in pain of any kind, pain=sad.

You don't need a ton of money to be happy, the love of another person (or a really cool dog) makes it easier.

I think it is also important to avoid being mean to others or doing things you know are wrong because karma has a way of bouncing back on you and giving you what you put out.

Having some solid contact with a higher power is part of it but not necessarily required as I am sure there are some athiests out there in complete bliss.

Personally, I have to feel creative and productive so lounging my life away on some beach would not equal happiness, making music or learning things is also very important. Doing something I am proud of and worked hard to complete gives fulfillment and happiness.

Guess that's all.

The first thing that came to my mind was total acceptance of their life. The reason most people are probably unhappy is because they do not want their lives to be a certain way. They are not going with the flow in their lives. The more we try to change our lives, the more frustrated we feel.

We should all have goals and try to improve our lives. We can not change our lives completely though.

Finding one's peace and happiness is an individual journey...but one that is quite achievable.

The answer lies in identifying what it is that would make them truly happy and feeling at peace with themselves. It is impossible to achieve something that you cannot understand...so therefore...one must first identify what it is that would bring them to that place. Once that has been determined, the journey begins. And frankly, one should be happy with the whole process...each step of the journey. Too often, we are impatient to reach our goal...not enjoying the achievement of each step.
