Sure it is mean, but it depends on how significant that past event was to you and him both as a couple back when you two were together.

Addenum: Now that you painted a clear picture, then yes, that was low down, dirty, rotten, repulsively, evil, spiteful, meanspirited thing he did to you. What a jerk!

What you need to do now is stop thinking about him and the life that you and him shared and work towards being healthy and beautiful. In a few years when he is old, flabby and decrepit, you'll still be good looking like Jane Seymour or Sophia Loren (those ladies are in their sixites/seventies). Then you'll see who regrets leaving who.

Trust me it works. I know a remarkable lady who had a severe heart attack. We treated her for it, but during the time she was in our care, her husband dumped her for a younger woman (I blame several of her recurrent chest pains on him), anyhow, she got even by not dying, worked out, got fit and now she looks even better then her ex-husband younger wife. HAH!

I don't really remember having '' normal'' talk with my ex! It's just to damn hard to do. He is a prick, plus he still acts like a damn child.

It's something about the "past" that they conveniently seem to avoid or forget.
