That's a really interesting question.........did you know that an aircraft landing is really a controlled crash?

Yes... somewhere I've heard someone use that description before (that walking is just controlled falling).
I want to say that it was my physics class in college, but it could have been a show like "Nova".
Wherever I first heard that discussion went to on say that if you think about it, walking is a very sophisticated activity (though it doesn't seem like it because it comes naturally for most of us). But you're actually on one foot most of the time, which is a precarious way to be. There is quite a bit of balance and subtle muscle control keeping you from falling!

Laurie Anderson did, about 25 years ago.
Laurie Anderson: Walking & Falling
Album:Big Science
Title:Walking & Falling
"I wanted you. And I was looking for you. But I couldn't find you. I wanted you. And I was looking for you all day. But I couldn't find you. I couldn't find you. You're walking. And you don't always realize it, but you're always falling. With each step you fall forward slightly. And then catch yourself from falling. Over and over, you're falling. And then catching yourself from falling. And this is how you can be walking and falling at the same time."

No...not really...I just presume it as an activity in which I push d ground below...but end up getting pushed by it instead!!!
U'r refering to running instead of walking.....think it over once!
