I need to make a logo transparent - it is on a dark background - i need it to be free standing (transparent)
any ideas - I want to put this into a power point file.

Best bet for easiest transparency is Microsoft Image Composer - a fabulous program - that used to be on FrontPage disks but no longer is for some reason. such a shame as it is fabulous. Anyway, if you can get hold of a copy it is wonderful and very easy to use, I got a copy off eBay for $5 last month http://rover.ebay.com/rover/1/710-5232-2...

With this program, you say what percentage of transparency you want the image to have, click Apply and it INSTANTLY makes it that way. Far easier than any other method.

Neither jpg or png can do transparent background. You have to use gif format for that feature.

The only way I know is to use the watermark tool. That was in Word.
