I have burned alot of mp3's onto CD's and they all work fine but when I listen to the mp3's through media player or media centre they all skip in the last 10 seconds of play.
Does anyone have any idea why this might be? Cheers

I'm playing them from the hard drive. I have anti-virus in the background but it is not scanning.

try updating your sound card drivers...or shutting down extra applications running in the background...it could just also be a poor quality MP3

They play fine from the hard drive but not from the CD, right? DO commercially-pressed CDs play fine? If so, you might try burning at a slower speed from a disk image.

Are you running something else in the background such as antivirus scan or something that u didnt realise was running? Or if not it could be your media player.
