i had the marina coil fitted over 7 years ago, i went to my GP to get it removed. when she pulled on the tail it snapped off. it was may i add very painfull. The doctor has refered me to the hospital to have the rest removed, so i'm very nervous and need to know how is it removed, because in about 4 hours it is being removed and i'm scared :( so please help. if no one has the answer well i guess i'll find out in 4 hours xx

cheers for the two fast responses :) well the answer is a general anaesthesic then removed. will have to go back at a later date :(

probably with a local aneasthetic and a long pair of forceps.be brave it wont hurt as much as childbirth

You have 2 more hours so take something to calm you down if you have at home (some herbal drops ?) its a bit painful but it has to be removed. They do it while they see where it is so it should be quick.
