Is doing community service a better option?

If she was instead given community service, her and her mother would still have been whining that she was treated too harshly. The way her mother talked to the judge would have gotten anyone else a contempt of court charge. They have no respect for the law, maybe she'll learn some humility in jail.
Its only 45 days out of her life, she basically does whatever she wants every day. I mean the rest of us have to WORK

why do you seem to think jail is too harsh for Paris?
is it OK for her to break the law and get away with the punishment other citizens would get?
would it have been too harsh if her car ran off the road, crashed and killed someones child riding in the car going to Mc Donald's for dinner? would she just then say to the dying child's parents but I'm Paris Hilton this shouldn't happen, oh i think now i shouldn't have been behind the wheel.
NO the reality is she wasn't supposed to be behind the wheel more than once and even more times than the law even knows and she should see the time in jail to reflect onto the real situation, there's consequences for ones actions and she's lucky it is jail and not looking into the eyes of the parents of the child she killed.

NO, she broke the law. She should be punished just like anyone else would be. Personally, if I was the judge I'd have added a lot of community service on top of the jail time.

No! I think she should sit in jail right by herself. She has already done community service on her show. She doesn't know how to do anything for herself put pose for the cameras and get into trouble. What if she had injured or killed someone while she was drinking and driving. What if it was you that she hurt. We all would be out here saying PUT THAT FOOL UNDER THE JAIL.

It is about time someone stood up and made a celebrity own up to their actions!!!! She knew that she was doing something wrong and still did it anyway because of who she is. Classic case of spoiled little rich girl. If she was anyone else, this would be a no brainer. She should do both time and community service, something that would really impact her in the future.

No. She had already been given a chance when she was charged with driving under the influence in the first place, and lost her license. Why should she get less than any other second time offender?

No way. Celebrities just think they can do what they want because they are famous. She keeps getting caught doing the crime (repeatedly!) and now she has to do the time. If it was anyone else...they would face the same sentence. I think the spoilt little biatch needs to be brought down a peg or two.

Even if she does go to jail she will be in a cell on her own with her own facilities. More like staying in a cheap motel than prison really.
But maybe that will do the job of bringing her down a peg or two.

You don't seriously think she is going to spend more than a day in there, do you ? Even if she does, she will not be in gen pop. No I don't think her version of jail will be too harsh. And she will make millions out of her story when she gets out, plus all that free publicity.

No. She is in jail for a parole violation; apparently she has problems obeying the conditions of her parole ergo, community service ain't goina make it. Sorry!!!
