This kind of delivery is known as the yorker. It's the most difficult to play of all types of legal deliveries in cricket. Batsmen usually don't have an answer for this type of delivery. The best they can do is just block with their bat and not get hit on the toes. As somebody already mentioned Waqar Younis was a master of yorkers. You can check out some of his videos on youtube. These days the best yorkers are bowled by Shane Bond who goes for the fast inswinging delivery that's hard to play. Malinga can be another devastating yorker bowler.

its not a yorker basically otherwise everyone can say that the bowler needs to bowl a yorker or that the batsman was yorked! a ball in the block hole means basically a perfect delivery i.e it is pitched in such a way that the bowl if left will hit the stumps or if padded will be an lbw. its a bit shorter then the yorker (A yorker is a delivery aimed at the base of the stumps and is usually bowled with full pace)! The block hole as seen on tv is the square block made from two shadow lines crossing each other one line goes thru the stumps and the other crosses horizontally!

It is called a "yorker" . When we talk about yorkers it will be unfair if we don't mention former Pakistan express bowler Waqar Younis who specialized in bowling some lethal yorkers. When he started his county career in England the english batsmen had no answer to his toe crushing yorkers and english media and cricketing people gave a new term to the mod of dismissal by a yorker from Waqar and when a batsman was out on a yorker from Waqar they called it " He was Waqared". Waqar was also named " Toe Crusher".

The blochole is created by the batsmen by tapping on the pitch. I think that delivery can be considered as a yorker

The "Yorker". Very few bowlers like Wasim Akram of Pakistan and McGrath of Australia were masters of this kind of delivery. Though Indian bowlers did try the yorker but they were not as successful as were the above two bowlers.
