much more intelligent than you are?
As a guy I tend to feel more secure with intelligent girls. Even if I felt she's more intelligent than I am. What do you think?

This may be a bit confusing but I'm trying to explain it as I can...
I'd feel secure when my partner and I are both having good communication and logical logic... :)
Cause if he's intelligent but might not be logical.... it's a turn off... While if he's intelligent and has logic... that's a great thing...
It all goes back to communication..... I want the whole package
He's smart, that's great... his intelligence is higher than mine, that would be also great... Hope he's smart to stimulate my mind too..

I would feel secure, because I know that if something happened, that he would be able to make an intelligent decision. Plus it's nice to have a conversation with an intelligent person. You can have a discussion on just about anything.

I feel more secure cuz I let my partner tend to believe that he is more intelligent than me, this way he doesn't put in too much effort in developping his intelligence, whereas my intelligence is being cultivated wisely ; therefore, I am more intelligent and always more secure.
I know it's very difficult to grasp but it works.

What do you mean by intelligent? What she has a better resume than you. Common sense goes along ways I guess. After that it takes a college degree. but then again I've meet alot of ignorant people with degree's 2.

Intelligence is one thing
common sense is another.
Credentials do not make a man/woman out of anyone, you can still be dumb with plenty of qualifications and degrees. you see, 'life' is the most significant teacher of intelligence not memorising things you are taught, after all thats what studying is..memorising stuff, then getting tested for it.

I always imagine this: I'm laying unconscious in a hospital bed. My husband/fiance/partner needs to make a decision of whether the doctors should operate on me...
I think anyone should feel secure if they're partner is smart/smarter.

I love intelligent guys and I'm a geek myself. Well I'd feel threatened if he is intending to design a new nuclear bomb or something... But I love intelligent guys, guys like Smutty.

I don't think I would feel more secure but I wouldn't feel threatened either....I enjoy being around people who are more "intelligent" than I am....it stimulates me and is more interesting!

No and he already is more intelligent because he has more years ahead of me. He is much older than me. I feel just fine. I know someday I'll catch up with him. Really, no big deal.

It is technically very unlikey for anyone to be more intelligent than me which is sometimes frustrating.
I knew 1 guy once who was more intelligent and much much older...I loved it. I miss learning from him...
