My best friend and I are planning to see Sydney. The question is, when is the best time to go there? We wanna party, meet new people, as well as experience the "culture" firsthand. Aussies, any tips?

Well sydney is great to visit anytime! but if you have to pick a certain time i reckon septemer/october is the best... around this time it is hot enough to go to the beach but not too hot! If you don't mind the heat (+35 degrees) and want to party then come around december/january when all the uni holidays are on!!! the city is normally pumping on a thurs, fri and sat night!!! many foreigners go out in the city but if you want to get out and see the 'culture' first hand then you have to get out of sydney... try newcastle up north or head out west on the train to orange or dubbo.. they are close enough to sydney to go out to for a weekend and you will see the real aussie culture in these smaller cities! Plus you will most likely be the only foreigner in town and this can have its advantages ;)

The Harbour almost all round it really is eye-catching. Cabramatta Auburn(both have unique cultural backgrounds) Blue Mountains(eye-catching organic surroundings attempt Katoomba/the three Sisters) Head up the Northern beaches in the direction of Manly/Palm sea coast. Queen Victoria progression - a superb procuring mall in the city Centre it really is classic to say the least yet eye-catching. capture numerous Ferries(Do a excursion on them) I stayed at Balmain and it turned right into a real effective spot. it really is what I did very last time I went to Sydney.

I live in Sydney

If you want to swim on the beaches its a bit cold to swim in winter. If you don't want to swim any time of the year is okay. Sydney gets down to about 8 degrees celcuis during winter which is cold for us but no too cold for people that are used to snow and waether colder during their winter.

Sydney is fun in summer and the beaches are wonderful to swim at all up and down the coast. Between October and Februaury would be good for a swim.

I hope you enjoy your time in this city of mine.

If you want to party then summer is the best time.
Particularly over the New Year period - party, party, party!!!!

To experience the culture then get down to the beach... Bondi, Manly are both good.
