I have always been led to believe that if there is any line AT ALL then you are pregnant. It is common to get false negative tests but i've never heard of a false positive or anything other than pregnancy which can cause a false positive. Call local midwife team or see your doc for blood test to confirm. Best wishes.xx

It's almost impossible to get a false positive... hope you're ready to be a mom! Tests vary because of their sensitivity to hcG. Some detect as low as 25 mIU/mg, and some 100 mIU/mg. I would read the box/instructions, and make sure you are taking one that detects the smallest amount of hcG.

hcG is a hormone only released in pregnancy... and a pregnancy test is only looking for hcG... hence the reason I believe you are pregnant! A blood test will be the most conclusive, and early morning urine is the best method if you want to test at home.

I went to the store the other day and saw an apple for $.50 cents and a baseball for $1.00 -- what movie did I rent that night?

There is no way for us to know based on this information. Unfortunately, the Internet isn't a pregnancy test -- you can't pee on your mouse and ask us if you're pregnant (*grin* -- That'd be a neat trick, huh?)

If you have ever had sex, its possible that you're pregnant. I suggest that for humors sake, you turn on your speakers and watch the video below (Seriously, it rocks!)... and then contact your local Planned Parenthood to schedule a test. The tests they use are FAR more accurate then the tests that you take at home, and you can be sure of the results right away.

Were there a few days in between? Possibly, the hormone indicating pregnancy was not visible enough at the first test, but already clearly visible at the second. You can do another test, but if you want to be really sure you'll have to do a blood test at the doctor's.

It is more usual for a false negative than a false positive. I would go to the Dr. and request a blood test!

Some tests detect very minute amounts of hcg in your urine. If you've had a line show up, no matter how faint, you're pregnant! Congratulations!!
