Im in the freak out zone cause I just had a pregnancy scare, so Im noticing everything! My period should be here anyday but no cramps just lower back pain. I haven't done anything to bring it on myself, I've been pretty lazy actually. just wondering if thats ever a pms thing for some ladies. Thanks ;)

Back pain and muscle cramps in the lower back are very common in PMS. This is simply because the nerves from your uterus attach to your central nervous system here....

take some paracetamol (if you think you may be pregnant, don't take any anti-inflammatories) go to your dr ASAP especially as tis is abnormal for you.

I never get cramps in the run up to my period but i do get pain in my lower back, quite a lot of the time, i just take paracetemol and it's fine, nothing to worry about.

Yes, premenstrual as well as menstrual cramps can cause lower back pain. Several of my friends have had this happen on a regular basis with their periods.

Yes, I only get tummy aches but I have heard many other gals say they get, back and leg aches too. Don't worry! It should be fine. If you are still worried consult your doctor.

You can have cramps in your lower back when you're menstruating or about to.

oh, yeah. my back hurts horribly when i'm having PMS. unfortunately it is a pretty common thing.
