Hi there.
I know that Honey is good for a lot of medicinal purposes. If you mix Honey & Avocado together - that is extremely good for skin. Plus, it doubles up as a very tasty snack!
The first thing to do is not worry or stress about it as I believe this itself can bring on some spots. There are a few things I find really clear up skin. These are;
Witch Hazel concentrate (found in Pharmacies, dabbed on with Cotton wool twice a day)
Drink ALOT of water
Sunbeds - Although I do not reccommend these, the occasional 3 or 4 minute session a week can really clear up skin as I'm sure on holiday you will admit your skin is better
I think the best thing to do is not overdo it. Sometimes products like Clearasil just strip away at your skin when good old soap and water is best. The key is to persevere and not expect overnight results, especially with skin. I guarantee if you drink A LOT of water, dab Wish Hazel on your skin and look at possibly visiting a sun bed for a short amount of time a week until it clears, you will see good results in a few weeks time.
Good luck!

Honey is not antibacterial, per se. It was used in ancient times as a dressing for wounds because it's thick, sticky texture formed a barrier to keep germs out.
If your skin is dry with acne, a mask of honey and yogurt or avocado may help. Otherwise, I'd suggest a mask with activated charcoal or tourmaline to help clear your pores - Origins and DHC make some good masks.

I doubt honey works.. people say all kinds of things like baby urine and grape juice work...
I suggest you get a bottle of Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Foam Cleanser, it really does work, you just have to use it daily!!
I use to have really bad acne when I was 16 and this is what I used.. I kept my face washed all the time and I used this stuff religously.. also it helps if you lay off caffeine a bit..
Good Luck

Yes, it's antibacterial. I'm not sure how long you should apply but I do know of some DIY face masks with honey as an ingredient. Apparently, with these face masks you should leave it on for maybe 15 min or until it dries.
