Does anyone have info on who to contact to get Telstra to upgrade the exchange in our area? Telstra say it's not their responsibility it's the government's.......

The area we have moved to is a adsl broadband area - but we get as far as the final connection with various isp's and it all comes back to insufficient ports.

It's becoming very frustrating on dial up.

Who do we speak to?

Do a door knock in your area, and collect signatures.I think if you can get 100 people they will look at your exchange.
We had to do this to get our exchange updated in Elimbah.Qld.Telstra had a site where you put in your phone number,it would tell you if you could get broadband and from memory it also showed approx when you may get an up date.
sorry i cant help you any further. try this site

If there is not any different opposition for broadband internet connection provider attainable you will might desire to attend until eventually a corporation comes to a decision the section warrants the provider and placed greenbacks of their wallet. Is there satellite tv for pc there or perchance DSL by using dial-up companies you may desire to evaluate in period in-between?
