Yes freemason does exist. As far as the movie's Nat't Treasure or Da Vinci's code are concerned some things mentioned in those movies about freemason are true some things are not. Freemasonary is a brotherhood, most of the teaching about freemason come out of the holy bible. If you are looking for lost treasures you will have to travel east. Look on the back of the 1 dollar bill it will tell you some things but the map is hidden well. "Seek and ye shall find Knock and the doors will be open". All the information you need on freemason is in your local library. You are seeking so I have given you your first clue. 2 be 1 ask 1 yes i am a freemason

Yes Freemasons exist, I happen to be related to a few of them. Actually contrary to popular conspiracy theories they are some of the best people to know. One little known fact is to be a Shriner you must be a full mason. It is easy to find the charity work the Shriners do.
National Treasure is based on a number of misconceptions and misinformation about some symbols. Da Vinci's code is mostly based on Catholicism which only a small portion of masons follow. Freemasons will accept any faith but a lack of faith.

There is a society of Freemasons, but much nonsense is told about them. Da Vinci made no codes really. The whole thing was invented by a Frenchman not so long ago.

If you're asking about Freemasonry, you should probably look more into the organization. They have chapters, or "lodges", all over the world, and are usually open to questions. As far as their place in the conspiracies of national control and so forth, I think some may be close to right but most is hyperbole.
Like most exclusive, large, organizations, a lot of people in power are members of them. It can be said that maybe the people who run the organizations are deeply rooted in the society and can place people wherever they want, but in most cases it's been proven to be that the same people who can afford to buy their way into these organizations are the people who can buy their way into positions of authority, or people who were born into it to begin with (GW Bush is a member of the Skull and Bones society, but most people would argue that he is president because his father was, and he would have run for it anyway).
As far as "Da Vinci's Code", if you're talking about The Solomon Key, which is the third installment of the adventures of Robert Langdon, then yes, it deals with freemasonry. The book and movie The Da Vinci Code deal more with The Knights Templar, the Priory of Scion, and Opus Dei. For the most part, the Priory of Scion is assumed to be a hoax created by Pierre Plantard in 1956, who was a pretender to the French throne. The Knights Templar did exist, but no longer exist as a military order of the catholic church or in any official way (although the Freemasons now use a lot of their symbols and ideas in their ceremonies, including a Masonic Order called "The United Religious, Military and Masonic Orders of the Temple and of St John of Jerusalem, Palestine, Rhodes and Malta"). And finally, Opus Dei does exist, but has never been proven to carry any of the philosophies or practices of the Dan Brown novel or its film adaptation.
Anyway, this is a lot of info, but if I were you I'd take any conspiracy theory with a grain of salt, and just assume most of them are false. If these organizations were so powerful there'd be a lot more proof of it, not just assumption and conjecture.

Yes, Freemasons (Free & Accepted Masons) exist. However, there is a LOT of exaggeration in both of these movies (althought it would be cool if we were tasked with guarding some monsterous treasure). Actually, Freemasons are simply a group of men who dedicate their life to living by their own moral code, which we are expected to formulate based on the "Volume of Sacred Law" (in my case the Holy Bible).

Yes Freemasons exist and do nothing but cause death and destruction , there ultimate goal is to establish a one world government and turn the U.N. into headquarters for that world . Granted not all Freemasons are bad but there organization is . Just look into the history of the Freemasons and what they have done and continue to get away with .
Edit since people do not believe what I posted I would beg for them to answer me 3 very important questions , who started the Klu Klux Klan ? who singed the Declaration of Independence ? and who was involved in the Boston Tea Part ?
The answers - A known Freemason named Albert Pike started the Klu Klux Klan , who's statue by the way stands in Washington D.C.
32 out of 34 people who signed the Declaration of Independence were known Freemasons
all the people involved in the Boston Tea Party were Freemason who did this to start the war with Britain
O did I forget our first President George Washington and 28 other Presidents of the U.S. were known Freemasons . Don't believe it at your peril and if you don't believe me then prove me wrong .

Freemasons do exist. Are they a powerful organization yep you betcha.. many people currently in power are freemasons. What freemasons have to do with a FICTIONAL book? I have no idea other than that they are mentioned in the book.
Oh i love how people throw in something bad that happend to them and say the relgious afiliation they are with. I was repeatably beaten by 2 athiests.. does that mean that because they were athiests they were beating me up? hell no. Neither does that fact you were almost raped by a freemason mean that it was because he was a freemason.

Freemasonry has become one of the cornerstones of the conspiricy theorists, there is no plan to dominate the world, if there was it would have been done by now.
And the C.T.'s cannot prove anything and expect non-belivers to disprove their stupid claims.
Do not believe all you see in movies, like the DaVinci Code and nat'l Treasure, this is Hollywood its designed to put Asses onto seats and get your dollars (Now maybe thats the real conspiricy) ;-)
