How do I fake the memory size so that OS will recognize that I actually have a lot of RAM. Eg. I have 512 MB RAM but certain program need more than that. So, if I can fake the RAM size (with settings or 3rd party software) and the OS recognise it as 2 GB, then I can installed the program that I needed. Thanks.

Hello

What you are asking can not be perform.

Ram, and Ram size is used up as BIOS in your computers' operating system , hence a computer already recognizes the Ram value used.

A system can not be tricked into thinking it has more Ram, and assuming that it could, the game would still not run because your system just wouldn't be good enough to play it.

If you are using Windows xp, right hand clicking, going to preferences and compatebility is your best option.

All the best

You can't fool the OS into thinking you have lots of RAM.

Its the BIOS/CMOS report of the actual amount of RAM that windows bases from.

but surely if you could do that, then the program you are running that requires more ram would probably crash on you or go very slow. memory is cheaper now anyway, so why can't you install more higher .

Let's assume it'd be possible... It'll run so slow as to be useless, since it'd be constantly swapping to the hard drive as you don't actually have all that RAM.

If you can't run it, why would you even install it?
