Ok, I'm 17 and I haven't had my period since the end of Jan/beginning of Feb. I was supposed to have it at the beginning of January, but I skipped that one too. So i havent had a period in about 3-4 months. I have taken 4 or 5 at home pregnancy tests and they have all came out negative. My mom told me that when she was pregnant with my little brother that the doctor's and the at home tests didn't come out positive until she was about 4 months along. Is it possible that that is happening to me too? I am really worried because I am supposed to start college in June. Has this happened to anyone else? I am not really stressed out, so i don't think that that is what is causing me not to have my period. Could there be something seriously wrong with me, like a medical condition or something? Is there anything else besides pregnancy and stress that could cause me to miss my periods? Please help...

I'm going through the same thing right now and the best thing i can tell you is that until you know for sure take care of yourself like you are pregnant and try to get much rest as you can. try going to a different or the same doctor the next month if you still missed your period after you've rested.

There are other things, but rather than worry yourself sick, go to the doctor as soon as you can get there. You could be like your mom, or not. There are other possibilities, so don't use your imagination, use your good sense.
By the way, if you are pregnant, many (probably most these days) colleges have day care facilities because many college students have kids. I'm 55, and my used the child care facilities at her college while she and my dad were in college. Nothing new. Now make that phone call, girl!

You are having alot of stress, and worrying about if there could be another reason for your pregnancy. See the doctor to ease your mind. Also a simple blood test can determine if you are pregnant. Good luck. bettyk
