Unlike most uninformed answers here , i can speak with some authority .
Being a postman for over 7 years ( god knows why ) i can officialy state there has been no industrial action in the Liverpool area this year .
Although with the latest pay offer we have been shown, things might change.
I'd just like to point out as a union member that striking is always a last resort and leads to workers losing valuable pay and usualy causes the workers more hardship than a customer waiting for a CD off ebay ! .
If only more people stood up for their rights then maybe the gap between the rich and poor of Britain would be decreasing instead of increasing .
