First: We reproduce because it is a form of immortality.

Second: Yes we may be parasites, but we will find another planet to inhabit. Our species is a very strong one, there is nothing wrong with that.

Third: It follows the laws of nature to reproduce.

In order to experience the fulfillments of parenthood. If the detriment to the earth is the only thing about the choice to become a parent that boggles you, you may be misdirecting your frustration. There is no reason why we can't continue to inhabit the earth, but do so without hurting it. What we need to change is our environmental behaviors, not our choice to reproduce.

You are a good responsible person who inherited the ability to be a good responsble person from generations of good responsible people.

Knowing that humans are bad to the planet, you decide, responsibly, not to have children. Bye Bye to your genes.

The irresponsible people will go at it like rabbits, and breed like flies. Making the world filled with irresponsible sociopaths.

Look, let me make it simple. From a genetic point of view, the planet doesn't matter, only the ability to have children. We exist to have children (if past generations didn't have children you wouldn't be asking this question).

So.....the genes that will survive will those that can survice whatever we create (either they will be wise genes that help fix the planet, or crafty genes that will let us live in the garbage pile we made).

Assuming that is right, isn't there more to do in order to conserve natural resources than merely to stop reproducing...... even if we do not reproduce, we still suck our individual share of the precious resources..... got it? No half-way measures!!

because religion has programmed most people to believe that breeding is their duty to swell the church ranks and then think god's gonna wiggle his nose and make it all better . then there's the one's who pass on genes accidentally who are just selfish and don't recognize that they are more like a virus and don't have the foresight to see the consequences.
i feel like human life has become devalued because as the quantity grows the quality shrinks!

humans are more important than the earth.

if the earth considers life to be a parasite than the earth should do something about it.

Because if we don't destroy the earth fast enough, we'll have to endure this pitiful existence for a longer time.
