The Seattle based bands, the mosh pits, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Beck, Alice in Chains... what were your fave Grunge-era bands/tunes that when you hear them take you back to when flannel was sexy?

Ah, those were the days! I used to wear flannel shirts all the time back then! Still a Nirvana fan!

Is Soundgarden considered part of the scene? Coz they sounded a bit heavier than the Seattle bands...

My personal Soundgarden favourites are "Blow Up The Outside World" and "Black Hole Sun". And I still have my lumberjack flannels on!

Grunge rock? Ha, that was the first transient musical style I lived through and I still have the Pond and Polvo albums to show for it!

It was TRULY a mixed time for music and led to the over-rated keech that is N*rv*na but, in contrast, the sublime Sebadoh, so you just can't win...

oh yeah, i loved all those bands, including soundgarden, screaming trees, soul asylum, smashing pumpkins, flaming lips, well not all of that is grunge, just music i liked at the time.
