Previously it kept on restarting and every time it restarts it would show a blue screen.
But we changes power smps and now it does not boot.

Try to open in Safe Mode, (Press F8 when starting windows then select Safe MODE) ;
1. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.

2. Click the Advanced tab.

3. Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings to open the Startup and Recovery dialog box.

4. Clear the Automatically restart check box, and click OK the necessary number of times

you changed power supply? is that what you are saying? Why would you do that? did the blue screen say anything? now when you try, does it show any signs of having power? or is it just dead?

first, whatever you changed, put it back, get it booting again. then, does your cpu have a fan on it? is it running? if not put one on! are you overclocking? if you are, put the settings where the computer and cpu are rated.

is there a pattern of use that causes the failure(when you use the modem, or printer, or start a game)?

the best answer would be a shot in the dark with this description. I would say, you probably didn't have adequite cpu cooling, and power supply had nothing to do with it.

If its not booting the operating system chances are your goign to have to reinstall it.

if its not turning on at all, and itwas restarting it, i would guess your motherboard went bad.

format the system and install windows xp service pack 2. u can solve this problem now.

check for the connections again and also try to clear ur BIOS and then try switching it on.
