I think its just the fact that we feel with the movie as we watch it...all those people´s lives, we can actually feel empathy for their emotions and their hardships and their happy moments too, and i think we learn a lot from movies...about life, about people and about ourselves aswell....but this is just my opinion.

a hundred random faces
feet stuck to the floor
some kid's popcorn in your hair
half a litre of cheap fountain pop for six bucks
the sound not quite matching up with the picture
the dizying nosebleeds of looking up at a sixty foot screen from three feet away
knowing that no matter how bad this movie is, you have to stay to the end to justify spending three hours wage on 96 minutes of "entertainment"
leaving the theatre pale faced and blinking due to sudden extreme changes of light
doing it all again next weekend just to spend time with your special someone

for couple of hours we can escape the reality of our own life & lived in the fantasy world of others

& to appreciate the work of good directing, script, acting, music.....the most popular form of art
