Yes, and have done so many times. I am comfortable enough to be able going to a movie, or dining out alone. I enjoy others company, but I am content to enjoy outings solo. There is zero drama over what movie to watch. I get to pick, with no one to grumble over my choice, and spoil my good time.

Usually if I cant get a friend to go with me (or a date :) ) I wait for the movie to come out on DVD. If I'm gonna watch it by myself I'd rather do it in the comfort of my hom at my own pace than in a crowded theartre surrounded by strangers. However, som movies I will make an exception for (like Spiderman 3 - I'm going to see that this week even if I gotta go by myself).

Well you see if you think about it it doesn't really matter if you go by yourself or not because it's not like you talk. But if you really don't like going by yourself pick up a hottie outside. I know at 'Hollywood Movie' Where I go there is tons of singles waiting for someone to ask to go see the movie with them...

Nope. Can't say I have. Nothing wrong with going alone.. I mean all you do is sit there and watch a screen for a couple hours..it's in no way social. BUT the question is...Do you go to the movies by yourself??

I have done it a few times... mainly when I had down time at work and there was no one else to go with. It's easier to walk out if the movie is crap, like when i went to see 'Fun with D/ck and Jane' with Jim Carrey and Tea Leoni... what a hunk of SHlT!

Absolutely. It helps me concentrate on the movie. Sometimes I even see a movie twice before I feel like I fully grasp it. It's not like reading when you can go at your own pace. Do you read with others? Not since grade school right?

Plus, all my friends work days.. I like a good old-fashioned matinee sometimes..

I have, but usually just to kill some time while I was out, maybe waiting on a friend in the area to meet up with later or something.

I did it more often when I was a teenager and sneeking beer. I Didn't have enough to share and I could just chill in the dark theater with out people giving me weird looks.

yes--if it is something I really want to see! Some movies are best shared (date movies) but some are just for your own enjoyment (ones that I am too embarrassed to admit I went to see)! I make sure I go during a weekday matinee--definitely not on a weekend!

i used to work at the movies so i'm allowed to go alone. Only at odd times though not friday night, not secure enough to do that. Maybe if I was killing time and had some business later.
