There are over 1,500 animals that have gays. Animals that fight and then mount each other are probably displaying dominance - this is right. However, the other animals just mount each other without fighting. You may want to check out the penguins in the zoo as a popular example (check the internet). Or the black swans. 1/4 of their babies are raised by gay swans. Think of how much time that takes to raise a baby swan.
I see that you believe being gay is evil. You need to think with your mind, not what someone has simply told you. I've always found the best way to do that is pretend your teacher gave you the assignment of explaining why being gay is natural and good.
It will help you a lot.

Well you've obviously made up your mind, so I can come up with all sorts of evidence and you'll not believe it.
But I will shoot down your logic. I have been told many things growing up, but later found out that they were false. For example certain things taught in school, based on the science of the day, and are later proven false by new science. This doesn't stop me from believing the new science, I'm not closed minded after all.
For example it used to be thought that dinosaur bones were all that could be retrieved, now there's dinosaur soft tissue found inside some bones. Appearantly under the right conditions it survives. I'm open minded, this allows me to accept this new scientific knowledge.
So if you get told birds are evil, and aren't open minded enough to learn they're not, it's your fallacy and lack of education that is to blame.
As for your theory of being told I'm gay, or introduced to it, neither was the case for me. I was treated like gold my entire time growing up, there was no sexual interference, and even considering where I grew up there would've been little talk of homosexuality as it was a religious country, thus it wasn't in the media at the time.
Also to think that theory stretched out over 650 000 000 LGBT people is ludicrous.
Point is it's there, and just because it doesn't fit your narrow definition of nature doesn't mean it's somehow less valid or that there's no reason for it to be there.
Peacocks have large tail feathers, this is totally unnecessary, other birds mate without a need for them, and it raises the risk of being caught and eaten, but they're still there, and their tails have reason, even if their logic isn't obvious right away.
But whatever I say you will disregard, which is a fallacy. I can present you with a ton of evidence and you will keep saying that the animals are just playing, or doing dominance displays. You're ignoring that these animals, regardless of reasons, are having gay sex, plain and simple.
They're having gay sex, and lesbian sex, some do it a lot more than they have heterosexual sex, so if nothing else they can be considered bisexual, which then makes heterosexuality abnormal, because they do not engage in same-sex games of any kind.
Point is humans have some choice. We can choose to engage in just sex, which some do, or we can have longterm relationships, which some do. That choice is what can set us apart, we have social constructs.
So you can argue that lesbian and gay culture is the construct, but I can also argue back that heterosexual culture is also a construct, as bisexuality seems to rule the animal kingdom, and exclusivity is the abnormality.
But again, I doubt you'll listen, you've made up your mind, good day.
If you do choose to open up your mind, check out the links.

You don't believe that a gay realtionship is legitimate? Hard stuff. For the human side, let experience and the lawmakers decide who, at least in Western cultures, have started acknowledging that gay & lesbian relationships exist.
For the animal side, as all other responses already told before, homosexuality is an innate part of the sexual behaviour of more than a thousand kinds of species. I am not sure about the exact number given that most sources on the internet state different figures. Most of them state around 1500 or more.
For some practical examples, just walk into the next zoo, slip some sugar or apples to the pavian or ape cage and observe what they will be doing with each other!!

There ARE gay animals, you nitwit. Look up bonobo monkeys. Look up cases of racehorses where their owners were tearing their hair out because the horse was put out to stud and was only "interested" in male horses.
I grew up in a roman Catholic household with 2 older sisters who are both straight. I never even knew what being gay was until I was 12. I never met another gay person until I was 18, by which time I already knew I was gay.
How about you explain that "phenomonon", eh?

There actually ARE gay animals. The bonobo apes settle disputes with sex - male on male, female on female, and of course male on female. Lionesses have been known to assume the role of the "Alpha Male" of a pride if the male has been killed - even to the point of mounting the other females.
Those are just quick examples, but if you read up on animal sexuality then you could make more educated assumptions. Most animal species don't have sex for fun, and that's why the incidence of animal homosexuality is rare (but NOT non-existent.).

Even if you were right about homosexuality not being found in nature (which you're not as the vast majority here have already pointed out), what on earth would give you the authority or right to call homosexuality illegitimate?
Here's the real kicker....
Option A:
Homosexuality is "wrong" so everyone should denounce homosexuality and not allow them to marry. The stigma increases and more people who would otherwise be gay force themselves to behave straight as that's the "right" way to live. They may even marry a member of the opposite sex and have children. These kids would have at least a 50% chance of having the "gay gene" themselves, they too would marry a member of the opposite sex and the "gay gene" would continue to spread throughout the population. Eventually closeted homosexuals are everywhere!
Option B:
Homosexuality is none of anyones business. Homosexual couples are encouraged to live as they are and even marry members of the same sex. Same sex couples cannot reproduce naturally so the "gay gene" is not passed on through successive generations. In time this would mean fewer children are born with the "gay gene" which results in fewer homosexuals.
Which would you prefer?
That's right, your homophobia is only helping to create more homosexuals!
-------------
Edit:
Another kicker for you.
If you are looking towards the animal kingdom and nature to legitimize human behaviour using the logic that only things appearing in nature are valid (which I can accept to a point) then belief in god is certainly illegitimate as humans are the only animals with that particular trait.

I've seen two male dogs go at it. Some experts have explained it as a fight over alpha domination. There will always be ongoing arguments as to whether homosexuality is due to the environment or is settled at birth.I don't have an opinion. As for animals, I've seen it happen in dogs, which is a social, pack animal.

so if someone tells you birds are evil you will always believe it blindly no matter what people tell you and prove to you otherwise? thats just sad that even after growing up you cant find out stuff for yourself. the livescience article mentioned above lists animals that do gay stuff and its not to dominate each other. American Bison are really gay.. the males mount each other more than they do females, and its just for fun.

Yeah!! This is my favorite question. I honestly wait for people to ask this so I can whip out my favorite web link. Here it is:
http://www.livescience.com/bestimg/index.php?url=&cat=gayanimals
So, bad news, homosexuality is found in nature. And it is found often!!
BTW, nobody told me to be gay or I was gay or anything of that nature when I was young. I also didn't know any people that were gay. More bad news, your theory has a GIANT hole in it. Oh well. Also, it's always good to have an open mind. You yourself said that young people are very impressionable. Knowing this, why would you continue to think what was told to you as a child? Being impressionable at a young age is no excuse for not having a mind of your own as you grow and mature.

Birds are very evil. Sure! Just like those who take notions like this to justify an unjustifiable position like this.
Check with National Geo archives about their program on homosexual behavior in the wild animal kingdom...or the many research papers on the subject.
And before you say that's just behavior. Remember animals cannot speak so they cannot tell us how they feel.
