You might think that this was a way of precipitating iron(III) sulphide, but it isn't. H2S reduces Fe3+ ions to Fe2+, and is itself oxidised to sulphur.

I am sure that you can now work out the equation.

yes because iron is more reactive than hydrogen!!!!!!the chemical equation is Fe3 + H2S = Fe3S +H2(evolving gas)....
