I'm a big fan of basketball, NFL, and baseball. What are my best options?

in November - January, you got NFL and NBA. You should be able to get tickets to a game or two of each.

Both are very fun to watch live, in my opinion.

At that time of year, ice hockey and football I think. I am from Australia, and managed to book NFL tickets for a Pats/Dolphins game online. http://www.nfl.com Football is very stop start, and you need someone to explain what is going on if you do not know the rules. Last ordinary season game is around the end of December - after that you will be looking at the playoffs, and it might be hard to get tickets.

I have also been to a couple of hockey games at the level just below NHL in Kamloops in Canada. For that I just rocked up on the night. Hockey is a hoot. Lots of colour and movement.
