The court gave wife temporary custody of our then10 mo. old daughter, even though she was in drug rehab at the time. Our little girl's sitter is my wife's mother. This woman lost custody of my wife when she was 11. SHE HAD HER RAPED! Can anyone please tell me how I might obtain any documentation of this. This happened in Louisiana 27 years ago. My attorney has managed to get wife's psychiatric records which describe this event along with others which led to Child Protection Services' intervention. My state's CPS tells me that they can't get these records. Please, can anyone help? Wife has never allowed her to keep her 14 & 16 yr. old girls from a pevious marriage. Also, her mother has been married 8 times. Her husband thinks he is #3. Any ideas on how to trace her marriages? If I can prove these marriages in court, I can impeach her on this. Thank you.

You can have your attorney bring all this up in court. Since most is revealed in her medical records, it will force her to be truthful. A way to track marriage records is thru your county court house, the are public record. There are also search engines on the Internet, so you can check different states.
I would not want my child left in those conditions either. And some valuable advice, if she is in rehab, go remove your daughter from her mothers. There are no grandparents rights established or guardianship naming her as the caregiver is there? Then no one can stop you. Go to your local police station and ask if they will escort you to get your daughter. Your her father, your well within your rights.
